Just to follow up on the QLD Floods here’s a video from David our QLD director showing the view from the northern end of the Storey bridge showing where the river has breeched the banks and flooded the surrounding city.
Happy New Year people. Here’s hoping everyone had a tippity tops Christmas break and are returning to 2011 fresh as a daisy full of goodness for another year.
As we continue with our massive annual furniture sale in Melbourne and Sydney, our friends in Queensland have been preparing for the floods as they protect their showroom in Fortitude Valley. The latest word is that the water reached the top of Wandoo street but thankfully didn’t reach the showroom even at its peak. You can see in the photo that the water stopped just short of our part of the street.
Our hearts and thoughts are with those Queenslanders who have not been as lucky over the past few days as the waters have taken over the city.
