We had Bollinger flowing all day and whilst many mocked the idea of pairing such a fine beverage with something as bogan as hot chips, I must say that it turned out to be a match made in heaven. After all, when one has been viewing showrooms all day and sampling the finest wines Richmond has to offer, what does one feel like as they settle in for the afternoon at the chosen showroom for lockdown? Well, what do they feel like besides a kebab? I think you’ll find what the crowds craved was a small stylish cone of hot delicious oil soaked chippies. It was pleasing to see many a SID participant enjoy that tasty morsel.

And on the business end of the stick, we launched 6 new furniture ranges – the Malua sofa – a setting of stunning  timber with a tapered slat, the Monteray modular, which with its powdered coated aluminium frame makes it incredibly stylish and low maintenance, the Zuma chair range and two stunning new modern compact laminate settings – the Moro and the Pelion. Oh and the Conway which builds on the success of the Tallow chair – a compact modern sofa setting that is surprisingly roomy but perfect for a small urban courtyard or balcony. Love that loom weave.

The headlines for this season’s range are really all about new shapes and profiles, easy living with deep webbed seats and loads of comfy oversized scatter cushions. Speaking of cushions, one of the things we’re really excited about this season is the fabrics. For those of you in the know, you’ll appreciate it’s not easy getting beautiful outdoor fabrics but this season we’ve got some fantastic fabrics. The whole fabric story this season is based around outdoor linen textures. With a beautiful range of blue and warm natural hues, this year’s fabric is hot. If you didn’t make it down to Eco last Saturday, drop by and have a look at the fabrics.  We’re excited to bring you what we think is our best selection of  stunning totally durable linen fabrics made specifically with the outdoors in mind.

Our design team will be in store presenting the new 2011 Summer Range featuring the much anticipated  Zuma outdoor chair .
