The 2017 Glenn Murcutt International Master Class is an innovative two-week design studio programme held in July and has become a major annual event on the global architecture calendar.

The first week is held at ‘Riversdale’, the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Education Centre on the stunning Shoalhaven River south of Sydney. Participants live and breathe in what has been described as Glenn’s ‘Master Work’, spend time in the company of Glenn himself and experience private tours of some of his most distinguished projects.

For the second week of the Masterclass, the Eco Outdoor Waterloo showroom is transformed into a hive of architectural innovation and inspiration, as participants undertake a design project, with Glenn personally running the rule over the class.

The projects – with participants drawing, sourcing material and generating models – will be presented by the participants and then be the subject of critique and tutorial support by Australia’s top architects including Glenn Murcutt, Peter Stutchbury, Richard Leplastrier, Professor Brit Andresen and Lindsay Johnston.

Eco Outdoor would like to invite two architecture students to each attend a lecture at the 2017 Glenn Murcutt Masterclass.

Prize:

Winning students will have the opportunity to observe the Masterclass, viewing at close quarters the calibre of participants’ work, as well as attending keynote lectures from the panel of tutors.

The winning Architectural students will be greeted at the Waterloo design showroom by an Eco Outdoor representative and given an immersive tour of the showroom, as well as an orientation on the Eco Outdoor approach to materiality, collaborating with architects, specifying natural stone and its relationship with modern, contemporary architecture and design.

The winners will then attend the evening’s lecture and hear from some of the most renowned, respected and influential architectural minds in Australia. To be in with a chance of winning, simply complete the entry form below.
