The 2019 Woollahra Design Excellence Awards highlights architectural talent

The Woollahra Design Excellence Awards aims to acknowledge the valuable contribution buildings and places make to the heritage and character of Sydney’s Eastern Suburb, Woollahra.

Local residents and their architects, builders, planners and consultants are invited to nominate projects in Woollahra that have been completed within the last five years to receive recognition.

This year, the calibre of nominated projects has no doubt exceeded expectations of all involved in the Woollahra Design Excellence Awards. Consisting of new residences, multi-residential apartments, parks and even a refurbished church, the nominated projects highlights the incredible level of architectural talent across the categories of ‘Heritage’ and ‘Design’.

We’re pleased to see two projects which Eco Outdoor collaborated on in the finalist list.

Voting for the ‘People’s Choice’ Award is now open, so take a look and head here to support the project’s residents and creative team. Voting closes 14th August.

Here, we take a look at two of the nominated projects feature Eco Outdoor products.

Woollahra design excellence awards nomination ‘Rose Bay House’

With a desire to retain the California bungalow’s street presence, a modernist-inspired single level renovation breathed new life into the client’s ‘forever home’. A holistic approach to the site that considered the landscape and materiality in addition to space and amenity was taken resulting in a well-appointed dwelling.
