Looking to polish your barbecue game? Our three go-to barbecue spice rubs may just be the flavour boost you’re looking for.

A tasty dry spice rub is one of the most versatile ingredients. You can use one of these blends on just about anything – steak, fish, poultry, sliced zucchini, sweet potatoes and even halloumi cheese or tofu.

Simply rub the spices into your barbecue fair and grill on a low heat to avoid burning, or slowly cook your meat to serve up a tender, smokey feast.

For the most flavoursome spice rubs, use good quality spices or get out your mortar and pestle and grind your own. These spice rubs will last a few months if they’re not devoured before then.
