At Eco Outdoor we believe life should be lived outdoors, and Sunbrella fabrics help to make that possible. Available in a variety of colours and textures, Sunbrella fabrics bring comfort to the outdoors without compromising on style. While it was once commonplace for outdoor fabrics to be tough and uncomfortable to the touch; Sunbrella's advancements in the development of their outdoor fabrics has resulted in a range that is hard-wearing and comfortable whilst being suitable for a life outside.
Comprising of a curated range of fifteen colours that aligns with Eco Outdoor's natural and organic aesthetic; there is a suitable Sunbrella fabric for any lounge, cushion or chair.
Sunbrella fabrics are inspired by rich colour palettes, cultivated trend stories and an array of textures. Design matters. Without great design, the spaces in our homes lack meaning and inspiration. The perfect combination of colour, texture and pattern not only adds beauty but has the power to invigorate and rejuvenate. Living with great design and creating a beautiful custom interior is what Sunbrella fabrics are all about.
The range of Sunbrella fabrics at Eco Outdoor can be found within the Broadcloth, Canvas and Basics ranges, each slightly different and all suitable for use on outdoor furniture in both residential and commercial settings.
What is Broadcloth?
Broadcloth is lightweight and easy to handle, but also very tough and fade-resistant. It is an ideal fabric choice for outdoor cushions, upholstery or drapes.
What is Canvas?
Canvas is a thick, sturdy fabric ideal for sling chairs and bean bags. Made from 50% recycled acrylic material from the Sunbrella mills in the USA, it is incredibly durable. A great option for almost any outdoor application.
What are Basics?
Luxuriously soft and incredibly hard-wearing, our Basics range comprises of woven Sunbrella yarns. These fabrics are shower-proof, easy to clean and fade-resistant. Our Basics are perfect for outdoor use.
Our Linen, Slub Linen and Raw Linen range is sourced from Belgian and brings with it an artisan slub achieved through the production process involving the use of a traditional loom. The Eco Outdoor Linens range brings added softness but is better suited to upholstered items that live their life in partially covered areas, such as verandahs and balconies, and when not in use for any length of time, Linens should be stored indoors. As Linen is a luxury natural fibre, this care is required to ensure longevity of the product for continued outdoor use.
As a natural product our Linens range will age overtime, becoming softer, more malleable and lighter in colour with sun exposure.
What is Linen?
Our Linen range is the product of the flax plant that is grown, harvested and milled in Belgium. As part of the weaving process, the Linens have a special outdoor treatment applied to them that are embedded in the fabric. To ensure they hold true to their delicate, natural appearance, we recommend that our Linens are used in undercover/sheltered locations.
What is Slub Linen?
Our Slub Linen range from Belgium is woven on an older style loom, giving the fabric a unique ‘slubbiness’. Some may think this is an imperfection, but we see it as being integral to the cloth's beauty. As part of the weaving process, the Slub Linens have a special outdoor treatment applied, however to best protect this more delicate outdoor fabric, we recommend that our Slub Linens are used in undercover/sheltered locations.
What is outdoor fabric?
The best outdoor fabrics are those made from acrylic or acrylic blends. Linens are more than fine to be used outside but should be taken inside during periods of heavy rain where they are likely to become soaked.
How do you clean outdoor fabrics?
To clean outdoor fabrics, simply machine wash with any solvent except trichloroethylene. For linens, machine wash at a temperature less than 38 Degrees C. Read our Care Guide for more detailed instructions for maintaining your outdoor fabric.
