Fluid & Grace
The swimming pool was designed to be the main feature of the backyard. The poolside retaining wall clad in Alpine dry stone walling was utilised to create a planter box along with three stainless steel waterfalls.
With the pool being visible from all the main living areas of the house is was an integral part of the design, also acting as a large water feature that was visually stunning and to be enjoyed whether dining outside or viewing from inside. The entertaining area and pool was tiled with Ravello travertine providing a low maintenance finish with elegant appeal. A small poolside lounge pavilion houses a bathroom and outdoor shower for convenience. Alongside a small lawn area perfect for small children, with a curved planter including a built in bench seat for relaxing and watching the kids play.
The end result being a design that acts as a private sanctuary during the day, with pool and garden lighting bringing it to life at night.
