This was a new build and the rear yard required extensive excavation and drainage to ensure planting would thrive. The sleek pool is lined in rebated Bluestone coping with a wet edge clad in honed Bluestone, which is visible from the kitchen creating a water feature wall.
To one side of the pool a sunken outdoor kitchen was built, while to the other side a simple topiary garden with organic bluestone steppers and a rough, volcanic rock mulch, all in keeping with the modern Japanese theme.
The front yard houses a 1000Lt underground water tank to service the pool and garden. The entrance is clad in honed Bluestone and the path in Bluestone crazy pave, with large boulders amongst the garden beds. All perfect against the modern aesthetic of this new home by DEM Architecture.
