This classic pool design keeps things fresh by incorporating split stone flooring in three different formats for a sense of variety. Colour and texture are called into focus by the many formats that are seen in this project however a singular storyline has been crafted by the architects flirtation with a few subtle contemporary design elements that help to tie it all together.

Cobb & Co split stone walling and coping paired with Harvest crazy paving in classic pool design

Harvest crazy paving brings a sense of play to the general surrounds the rectangular pool structure, while the Cobb & Co split stone coping and pavers used as wet edge paving keeps the water surface on the same level as the pool concourse, creating a smooth transition to the submerged stone bench seats that extend along both sides of the pool. These large format pavers appear again as vertical cladding on the oversized plinths at each corner of the pool, on the classically styled staircase leading up to the main residence and as a modular format in the fully equiped pool house. Facing off against the Mitta Mitta dry stone wall at the opposite end of the pool, the stained teak structure of the pool house echos compliments the natural colour variations of the split stone and accentuating the earthy tones of the drystone.
